The Rillettes Box

Épicerie Bouf is partnering up with Amsterdam based Cocorico Wine to offer you ready-to-go food & wine boxes. Enjoy the best of France with your family and friends.

This box for 2 to 3 people includes:

- A 75 cl bottle of Gamay 2019 from the Domaine de la Méchinière (Loire)
- 150 gr of Duck Rillettes
- Organic Cornichons (pickles) from Burgundy.

The Wine: 
The perfect Gamay for winter. Devoted to demonstrate that La Loire is an amazing terroir for this variety, Valérie made a fruity and earthy wine, glouglou but structured, surprising yet rustic, that offers generous notes of ripe bramble, preserved cherries, strawberries along elegant and floral notes of peony, violet and irises. The whole comes with a good tannic structure that would match perfectly with some Rillettes, pork, lamb or pungent cheeses.

The Charcuterie: 
The Rillettes from the Périgord Noir are made by slowly cooking salted duck meat over low heat until very tender. The meat is then pulled into shreds with the cooking fat to form a delicious rustic paste. Throw it on a piece of toasted bread and feel it melt on your tongue. 
The Cornichons are grown in Chemilly-sur-Yonne, in Burgundy.
No herbicides, no pesticides, no preservatives. Cultivated, hand picked, and packaged at the Maison Marc's farm. This picture is a suggestion of presentation. Bread and wine glass are not included.

The package holds perfectly in a 100% recycled and renewable cardboard box.
